I was pleased to be featured on the New Book
Network Podcast, where I had the opportunity to discuss my book Building
Resilient Futures and the core ideas behind its message. The interview
provided a thoughtful platform to explore how individuals, organisations, and
communities respond to disruption and how resilience can shape the way people
navigate uncertainty and change.
During the conversation, I explained that
resilience is not only about surviving difficult periods but also about
learning, adapting, and emerging stronger from them. We discussed how real life
challenges often test the limits of people and systems, and how those
experiences can become powerful opportunities for growth when approached with
the right mindset and strategies. The podcast allowed me to share practical
insights, real world examples, and perspectives drawn from both professional
experience and research in the field of resilience.
Building Resilient Futures explores resilience at multiple levels, including individual,
organisational, and societal perspectives. The book highlights how people and
institutions can overcome adversity and rebuild with greater strength and
clarity. It combines theoretical understanding with real case studies and
practical guidance, making it accessible for leaders, professionals, students,
and policymakers who are navigating periods of change or crisis.
In the interview, I also reflected on the
importance of preparation and awareness in uncertain times. Resilience, as
discussed in the book, is not a fixed trait but a developing capability that
can be strengthened over time through experience, learning, and reflection.
This perspective helps readers understand that setbacks do not define outcomes,
but rather contribute to long term development and success.
I shared that Building Resilient Futures
is the second book in my resilience series, following earlier work in the same
field. I also mentioned that a third book, Nature’s Resilience, is
currently planned for release in the near future. Alongside my writing, I have
also authored two novels that continue to explore resilience themes in
different narrative forms.
Being featured on the New Book Network Podcast
was a valuable experience that allowed me to connect with a wider audience and
further contribute to conversations around resilience, leadership, and
adaptation. I am grateful for the opportunity to share these ideas and continue
encouraging others to build stronger, more adaptable futures.
